Easily Preparing Your Bean & Bacon Soup
1. Cook a ½ lb. of bacon and set it on a plate with paper towels on it. The paper towels will help soak up all the grease. After it cools chop it up into smaller pieces.2. Peel and chop 2 small yellow onions 3. Peel and cube 1 large potato or 2 small potatoes and place them in a small bowl with cold water in it. 4. Peel and slice 3 carrots into ¼ inch slices. 5. Peel and mince 2 cloves of garlic.
How to Cook Your Bean Bacon Soup.
1. Add 4 cups vegetable stock and 2 cans of 8 oz. tomato sauce to a large pot, stir well and simmer on medium heat.2. Add the rest of the ingredients and simmer for 15 - 20 minutes. 3. After approximately 20 minutes of simmering take the thyme sprig and the bay leaf out and discard them. 4. Reduce heat and serve. |
