Italian Sausage Potato Soup Recipe
This Sausage Potato Soup Recipe uses Italian sausage and Yukon Gold potatoes to create a deliciously medium spiced potato soup with sausage.
This easy homemade soup recipe makes a great appetizer.
| INGREDIENTS | COOKWARE | - 6 Yukon Gold Potatoes, cubed
- 1 Large Yellow Onion, diced
- 1 Garlic clove, minced
- 1 Celery stalk, chopped
- ½ Lb. Italian Sausage
- 1 ½ Cups Half & Half
- 5 cups Chicken Stock
- 1 teaspoon Dried Parsley
- 1 Tablespoon Olive Oil
- Salt and Pepper to Taste

- Ladle
- Spatula
- Dry measuring cups & spoons
- Liquid measuring cup
- Food Processor
- 1 Large Bowl

How to prepare for your Sausage Potato Soup Recipe.
Make sure you Rinse all your vegetables first.Chop one celery stalk and set it off to the side No leaves. Peel and cube six yukon gold potatoes into half inch cubes and place them in a bowl with cold water.This will help rinse them off and keep them from browning.Peel and mince one yellow or white onion and one garlic clove and place them in a container off to the side.
Cooking Your Potato Soup with Sausage.
- Add one tablespoon of olive oil to a large pot and turn the heat on medium high.
- Now add one minced onion, one minced garlic clove, half a pound of italian sausage and one teaspoon of dried parsley.
- Saute for about six or seven minutes stirring frequently.
- After sauteing reduce the heat to medium and add five cups of homemade chicken stock, six yukon gold potatoes and one chopped celery stalk to the potato soup with sausage, stir well and simmer for 35 minutes.
- Now add 1 ½ cups of half & half and stir well.
Add salt and pepper to taste and test your creamy potato soup with italian sausage then serve.
