Sounds amazing, and I don't even like beans!

I've never really cooked with beans until I married a Puerto Rican and learned about beans and rice! This site looks like it has a lot of great ideas for economical cooking. I had no idea you had to soak the beans (my mother in law always used the canned kind) but I will have to try this soon. My mother in law has been complaining of late how expensive it is to feed all the kids- I will have to send her here.
